The Dogecoin community has fired up the marketing jets once again and this time the destination is Nascar. What is Dogecoin? It’s an open source peer-to-peer cryptocurrency, similiar to Bitcoin, that can be used online.
While many of its competitors focus on the motor under the hood, working on things like technical innovation and beautiful code, the dogecoin adopters have demonstrated time-and-time again that it has the best driver behind the “marketing wheel”.
News of the fund raising efforts to pimp the car with Dogecoin paint have already appeared on Fox Sports and The Daily Dot. Josh Wise is also pumped and on-board with the possibility of driving for Dogecoin, and is encouraging fans to participate in the campaign with numerous tweets from his twitter account:
In addition to Dogecoin, several users on bitcointalk have recently predicted that Goldcoin (GLD) will be the next crypto currency to see its popularity soar after its developer discovered a solution to the 51% problem, an inherent weakness in bitcoin that Satoshi was addressing before his disappearance.
Nothing is for certain, and there’s still a long way to go before reaching the goal of $55,000. But if past success is any indication, the Dogecoin community will far exceed the amount required to sponsor the Phil Wise No. 98 Chevrolet and we’ll get much racing, and such Nascar as Dogecoin takes to the track!
