Transmission 39 with I/O Coin discussing I/O Digital, Dions and Proof of Stake

This week on Transmission, Theo Goodman, talks to the I/O Digital team about the motivation behind launching the currency and what the team has planned for the future.

I/O Digital Currency (IOC) is an innovative, secure, and user friendly cryptocurrency. IOC works from the POS system ‘Proof of Stake’ using less energy than Bitcoin, which in turn, makes us more environmentally friendly to our planet.

Reversible Transactions

Currently there are several applications that are built on the I/O Coin blockchain. Future plans include decentralized micro blogging, instant messages and ripple style gateways. Also in the works are reversible transactions:

We will soon be integrating reversible transactions to give users the ability to reverse transactions made in error within a configurable time period.

We also discuss proof of stake vs. proof of work, and Ions, an innovative feature that allows sending and receiving payments by using a registered username. To learn more about I/O Digital, check out the currency’s announcement thread on Bitcointalk.org or visit the I/O Digital website.

Transmission is a weekly video program featuring bitcoin, altcoins, and blockchain technology broadcasting live every Sunday at 3PM EST. The Spice Must Flow.
